baby Crystal at 12 Days new

Sweet little Crystal was the best little sleeper for me last week at her in-home newborn session! At 12 days old, some babies are less likely to sleep through the session as say a 5-9 day old baby, but she was a rockstar! It helps that I keep the room at almost 80 degrees and aim for smooth transitions between poses to keep baby from startling awake.

Covid has thrown a wrench in so many things and some new parents are forgoing newborn photos in order to limit their baby’s exposure. It makes my heart so sad though to hear parents who didn’t get those newborn photos share that they wish they had.

That’s why I’m so excited to offer in-home newborn sessions as well as continue to offer my studio sessions. In-home sessions are virtually the same style with the option to add a few lifestyle in-home photos in the mix, and I bring my studio to their house!

My light, stand, posing table, a few select fabrics, a bucket/basket, a space heater, my noise shushers, and a few other odds and ends come with me and I set up shop in a bedroom where I can get it toasty warm. From there we spend 3-4 hours together capturing your little one and photos of your sweet family together. These photos are absolutely irreplaceable and a once in a lifetime opportunity to capture when baby is so fresh and little.
