Greensboro Senior Photographer

This Is The Year Worth Remembering

This year is the one you've been counting down to and bracing for at the same time. Senior year. The end of something. The beginning of everything else. You've watched them grow into someone they're proud to be β€” and now there's this small window to capture who they are right now, before they leave for whatever comes next.

Senior portraits shouldn't feel like checking a box. They shouldn't look like everyone else's, either.

I'm Kelly, a Greensboro senior photographer based at Revolution Mill, and I create senior sessions that feel like them β€” relaxed, real, and worth holding onto.

Be yourself; everyone else is already taken. #senioryear

Tell Me about your Senior

FULL-SERVICE MEANS I HANDLE EVERYTHING β€” YOU JUST SHOW UP.

What a Senior Session With Me Actually Looks Like

This is a full-service senior photography experience β€” which means I'm with you from the first email to the framed prints on your wall.

Before you book, we start with a brief phone call. We talk about your senior, what they love, what they don't, and what they want their photos to feel like. After we choose a date and are on my calendar, then I help with outfit choices, location ideas, and timing. (You'll bring at least two looks β€” something that feels fun and casual, plus something a little more elevated.)

On session day, I do the heavy lifting. I'll guide every pose with natural prompts so nobody has to wonder what to do with their hands. Sessions are usually 2–3 hours, with time for multiple outfit changes and locations.

After the session, I carefully edit your gallery and bring you back for an in-person reveal at my Revolution Mill studio. We'll look through your images together on the big screen, and I'll help you choose your favorites and design the wall art, album, or prints you'll keep for years.

This isn't a shoot-and-share situation. You leave with something tangible. Something that ends up on the wall, not buried in a phone.

You've watched them become this person. Now let's make sure you remember exactly who they are right now.

From Revolution Mill to Wildflower Fields

STUDIO, OUTDOOR, URBAN, campus β€”
OR SOMEWHERE COMPLETELY THEIR OWN

We'll choose locations that match your senior's personality and the look they want!

A few I love:

  • Revolution Mill β€” historic brickwork, industrial textures, and natural light. Great for polished urban portraits without leaving the studio building.
  • Downtown Greensboro β€” murals, alleyways, and modern architecture for an edgier, city-chic feel.
  • Dogwood Farms β€” wildflower fields just outside town, perfect for golden hour and dreamy outdoor portraits.
  • Your high school campus β€” familiar ground with more variety than you'd expect. Bleachers, brick walls, open fields, and the place where this whole chapter happened.
  • A location of your choice β€” got a favorite spot, a meaningful place, or somewhere a little off the beaten path? Tell me. I'll scope it out.

I also photograph seniors throughout Winston-Salem, High Point, and the surrounding Triad area.

The sweet spot is the spring or summer before senior year.

Booking early gives us flexibility for yearbook deadlines, graduation announcement cards, and wall art for your home. It also means you get first pick of dates before fall calendar fills.

That said β€” seniors can be photographed any time of year, and there's something to love about every season. Late-summer wildflowers. Crisp fall light. Snowy winter portraits with a moody edge. Just don't wait until graduation week and hope for the best.

If you're not sure when to book, reach out and I'll tell you exactly what timing makes the most sense for your senior's plans.

Frequently Asked Questions

What questions do you have?

Don't see your question?

Q: Do parents come to the session?

Q: What should my senior wear?

Q: How much does a senior photography session cost?

Q: Where do you shoot senior photos in Greensboro?

Q: When should I book my senior photo session?

Q: When should I book my senior photo session?

A: The best time to book is the spring or summer before senior year. Sessions fill quickly in the fall, and booking early gives you flexibility for yearbook deadlines, graduation announcements, and wall art for your home. That said β€” I photograph seniors year-round, so reach out anytime and we'll find the right window.

Q: Where do you shoot senior photos in Greensboro?

A: I shoot at locations across Greensboro, Winston-Salem, High Point, and the surrounding Triad area. Favorites include Revolution Mill, Dogwood Farms, downtown Greensboro, and more! Even at your high school's campus!  If you have a meaningful spot in mind, send it my way β€” I'm happy to scope it out.

Q: How much does a senior photography session cost?

A: The senior session booking fee is $299, which covers the planning call, the session itself, editing, and the in-person reveal appointment. Digital images, prints, and heirloom products are purchased separately at your reveal. I share the full investment guide on our planning call so you have everything you need before deciding.

Q: What Should my Senior Wear?

A: Bring at least two outfits β€” something that feels fun and casual, plus a look that's a little more elevated. I'll walk you through styling on our planning call and help coordinate outfits with the locations we choose together. The goal is for your senior to look like the most polished, confident version of themselves β€” not someone they're not.

Q: Do parents come to the session?

A: Parents are always welcome. Some stay for the whole session, some join just at the end for a few family photos together (a great idea, by the way β€” it's the last "before everyone leaves" portrait you'll get). Sometimes seniors bring a best friend along for moral support. It's whatever feels right for your senior.

Q: How long is a senior session?

A: Plan for 2–3 hours. That gives us time for multiple outfit changes, multiple locations if you want them, and plenty of breathing room so nothing feels rushed.

Q: How far in advance should I book?

A: For fall sessions, book by early summer at the latest. Spring and summer sessions usually have more flexibility, but the calendar fills earlier than people expect. Reach out as soon as you know you want photos and I'll let you know what's open.

Q: Do you photograph college seniors and graduations?

A: Yes β€” college senior portraits and graduation sessions are some of my favorites. UNC, UNCG, NC A&T, Duke, Wake Forest, Elon, and High Point University are all in my regular rotation. Check out my graduation photography here.
