You already know this season goes fast. Everyone keeps telling you, and as much as you want to roll your eyes — they're right. The curled-up little fingers. The way they fit perfectly in the crook of your arm. The quiet weight of them finally, finally here.
Newborn photos aren't just pretty pictures. They're proof that this happened. That this tiny, brand-new person existed in this exact way, at this exact moment in your family's story.
I'm Kelly, a Greensboro newborn photographer based at Revolution Mill, and I'd love to document this for you — beautifully, calmly, and in a way that actually feels like YOUR family.
This Is the Beginning of Everything.
Let's Capture it Beautifully.
What a Newborn Session Looks Like
Relaxed, baby-led, and focused on real connection — not perfect poses.
Most of my Greensboro newborn clients book their session while they're still expecting — usually in the second trimester. That's not just a logistics thing. It's because the newborn window is so short.
Baby is ideal to photograph between 5 and 14 days old. After that, the curled-up sleepy-newborn phase gives way fast. By the time life has settled down enough to think about booking, the best window for photos has often already passed.
When you book early, I hold a spot on the calendar right around your due date. Then, when baby arrives (early, late, or right on time), we'll connect and confirm the exact day and time that works best.
No scrambling. No stress. Just one less thing to figure out in those first hazy, beautiful days
From your first planning call to the moment you hang something beautiful on your wall — it's all taken care of.
Your $299 session fee covers a lot more than the time in front of my camera.
From the moment you reach out, I'm guiding you through every decision so you don't have to figure it out alone.

"Loved everything about our experience... "
We absolutely loved everything about our experience with Kelly! She was clear and informative prior to our shoot, patient and professional during the shoot, and the end result was incredible. We continue to get compliments on the photos of our son, and will treasure them forever. Kelly is the best!
- Robert T.
"No way they could have been better... "
Our photos couldn't have turned out better, I mean there is no way they could have been better! She made me feel comfortable and beautiful at a time in life when my body felt anything but. She helped wrangle a chaotic and over tired toddler like a pro and gave us photos what we will cherish forever. I am proud to display her photos in our home and can't wait to work with her again!
- Janet R.
"I don't know how she does it!... "
Kelly is such an amazing photographer. I am in love with her style...She is the best newborn photographer I’ve ever seen. I don’t know how she does it, but I am in awe every time she posts a new session. I’m so glad she could capture our family’s big moments. She goes out of her way to make you feel comfortable and to get keepsake photos. My family loves working with Kelly!

"We are so happy we found Kelly!"
We have had two sessions with Kelly this year and have been so pleased! She has an eye for the perfect shot and has an impeccable ability to capture the most beautiful lighting. Our second session was a newborn session and she was so wonderful with us and our little guy. I would highly recommend if you’re looking for a very skilled, professional photographer. We are so happy we found Kelly!

What questions do you have?
Don't see your question?
Q: What if my baby won't sleep?
A: It happens! We will adjust! We can focus on lifestyle photos and awake moments, and then try to swaddle and get baby to sleep again. If baby absolutely refuses to sleep, we can always reschedule within a few days (no extra charge) to get the posed photos.
Q: Will it really take 4 hours?
A: Possibly! I try my best to keep baby asleep, but baby might wake up and be hungry or needs a new diaper. Our schedule allows extra time so that baby's needs come first. Some babies are so sleepy that the session moves fast, but others need extra time to get back to sleep.
Q: Are those adorable poses safe?
A: The safety of your little one is the highest priority! I take very seriously the trust you put in me to pose and photograph your baby in the safest manner. Thus, we will not try any poses or positions in which baby is not comfortable or a risk to baby’s safety.
Q: When should we do the session?
A: Newborns don't keep! The best time is between 5-10 days. Those cuddly little poses that you love so much? Baby isn't so keen on those poses after 14 days when they really start to wake up. Newborn ache and colic can flare up after the first 2 weeks as well, which makes them less agreeable!
Q: MY TODDLER won't do it. Help!
A: We have options even if the toddler is not feeling like joining the fun! One option is composite pictures where I take separate individual photos and merge them together in post-processing. Our goal is to keep everyone happy and we will adjust to make that happen!
Q: Can we do it in my home?
A: Yes — in fact, in-home sessions are my favorites. In the comfort of your home, your family can settle in, snuggle up, and relax. I’ll gently guide you through the process, using the natural light and meaningful spaces in your home. If you’d prefer a studio setting, that's an option too!
If you're expecting a baby in the Greensboro area, I'd love to hold your spot on the calendar. Fill out the form below and I'll reach out within 24 hours — we can figure out timing, talk through your vision, and make sure everything feels easy before baby even arrives.
Because you're going to want these photos. And I'm going to love taking them.
