Friends Since Childhood…

How many of you ended up marrying someone you knew from your childhood? Lauren and Zach grew up in the same community, went to grade school together, but didn’t start dating until they were students at IU! After a first date over a scary movie, they knew they were more than just friends and fell fast for each other!

When I first talked to Lauren about their engagement session back in March, we were unsure what the future held with Covid-19 and if their session would even be possible. Additionally, Lauren works at an urgent care facility in Indy and her job continued to be demanding with the added patient load.

In the end, it wasn’t Covid-19 or stay-at-home orders that held off their beautiful session but rainy May weather that forced us to postpone several times! I’m so glad we waited for the perfect evening in Lafayette, Indiana though because the light was just glowy and Lauren and Zach’s love for each other was so tangible through the session- and they were naturals in front of the camera!

Lauren and Zach’s little pups came along for the session and were so adorable tagging along with their parents. They really hated not being in the photos when their turns were done!

Change of Plans

Lauren and Zach were pulling their wedding plans together this year when COVID-19 hit, and have decided with all of the uncertainties, it will be infinitely better to elope… in July!

I wish you both all the best as you tie the knot next month surrounded by your close friends and family! May your big day be everything you hoped and dreamed despite the craziness that 2020 has thus far shown us. In the end, it is not the wedding day that brings the most joy, but marrying your best friend and knowing you get to spend the rest of your life falling in love with each other!
