Spring in Greensboro brings out some of the best natural backdrops for senior photos. 🌸✨ And Genna’s golden hour senior session in the wildflower fields at Dogwood Farms? It was the perfect mix of sunshine, sentiment, and personal style.
As a Greensboro senior photographer, I love when I get to help seniors like Genna celebrate this incredible milestone in a way that feels totally true to them. And from start to finish, this session was all about celebrating Genna. It was a total dream: natural, vibrant, & effortlessly HER.
Meet Genna 💫
Genna is a senior at Southwest Guilford High School, and she’ll be heading to NC State this fall. She’s a former volleyball player with a radiant smile and a natural presence in front of the camera.
From the first photo to the last, Genna brought a sense of calm confidence and timeless beauty to every frame. Whether she was twirling through wildflowers or beaming in her Wolfpack red, each moment reflected who she is right now—and the exciting path in front of her.

Three Looks, Endless Personality for Senior Photos
One of the things I loved most about Genna’s senior session was how much variety she brought to her wardrobe! We captured her in:
- A flowy floral dress that blended effortlessly into the wildflower setting, adding to the soft, romantic feel of the session
- A bold red NC State t-shirt paired with a white tennis skirt—she lit up holding her Wolfpack pennant with the kind of excitement that only comes when you’re dreaming big for what’s next
- A short white dress, clean and elegant, framed by a field of reds and purples—it gave us that classic, editorial look that always photographs beautifully

These outfit changes added both personality and depth to her gallery. Each look felt like a different facet of who she is right now—and where she’s headed.
Including Mom in Your Senior Photos: A Sentimental Touch 💕
Genna’s sweet mom came along for the shoot—and I always love when parents join in. One of my favorite images from the evening was a quiet hug between the two of them—proof that sometimes, the most meaningful portraits are the ones that feel like home.

If you’re planning a senior session, consider inviting someone close to you. It’s never too cheesy to want a photo with your mom (trust me—future you will thank you!).
Golden Hour & Wildflowers: A Springtime Senior Session Favorite
If you’re dreaming of senior photos surrounded by wildflowers and drenched in golden light, spring in the Triad is a great time to make that happen. The soft light and colorful fields add a relaxed, natural vibe that works beautifully for portraits.
Booking your session near graduation also allows us to include cap and gown portraits, like we did with Genna. It’s the perfect nod to everything you’ve accomplished—and the exciting path ahead.
