I have some exciting but bittersweet news to share.
In August 2024, our family’s journey will be moving us to Greensboro, North Carolina!
This announcement is SOOO bittersweet, considering the incredible memories we’ve made here in Indiana over the past 7.5 years.
Two of our 3 kids were born here.
Brian completed his PhD here.
We bought our first house here.
We started our photography business here.
And we’ve gotten to know some incredible people here.
This place and the people in it will forever have a piece of our hearts.
There will be time later for proper farewells (and tears) for our clients-turned-friends in Greater Lafayette. But for now, I just want to say how deeply grateful I am for you! My clients have honored me SOOO much by allowing me to capture your family’s memories. Thank you for trusting me with your family’s most treasured moments!
Before I tear up more (tissue please), let me jump to the exciting part!
I never thought I’d move back to Greensboro (it’s where I lived during my middle & high school years), but here we go!
In short, family ties are drawing us back to NC, as all of our parents, siblings, and nephews live there. Being closer to family has weighed on our hearts for years, and the time feels right to make the move now before our kiddos get much older. Plus, we’re Tar Heels at heart anyway!
As you might have guessed, we’ll be relaunching Kelly McPhail Photography in Greensboro!
And we’re very excited about new opportunities for growing my business there as a Greensboro photographer. Plans are already underway! I’ve been scouting out possible studio spaces, while Brian has been tackling the 1 million little administrative tasks involved in moving a business. We also have some other fun things we’re not quite ready to announce yet, so stay tuned for updates…
In the meantime, I’m still booking sessions here in Lafayette!
