It’s graduation season, and that means it’s time to pop the champagne and celebrate some amazing accomplishments — just like Laura did for her graduation photos at at High Point University! 🎓
Laura is graduating with a degree in Chemistry (go science!) and we had the best time wandering around campus capturing her joy, personality, and school spirit. HPU has no shortage of gorgeous photo spots, and Laura chose some of the most iconic ones for her session. If you’re looking for ideas for your own graduation photos High Point University, this post is full of inspiration. Check out Laura’s gallery of graduation photos at the end of this post!
Our Favorite Campus Locations for Graduation Photos at HPU
We hit so many classic High Point University landmarks — some that celebrate the school’s history, and some that just feel like perfect backdrops for graduation photos.

Here are a few highlights from Laura’s session:
- Wanek School of Natural Sciences — A must for a Chemistry major, right? This spot felt so personal to Laura’s academic journey.
- Breezeway at the Caine Conservatory — The soft light and greenery made this feel so dreamy.
- The giant HPU sign in royal purple — Bold and iconic! This one always says “school pride” loud and clear.
- Roberts Hall — The first building on campus when High Point College was founded in 1924. The history here adds such depth to every photo.
- Mahler Family Promenade — A gorgeous walkway that always brings elegance to the session.
- Stairs outside of Congdon Hall — We played with some angles here for a strong, classic look.
- Tree of Life Sculpture next to Roberts Hall — Just one of the many amazing sculptures on campus that make these photos unique to HPU.
- Henley and Finch Fountains at either end of Kester Promenade — A fun and celebratory stop to wrap things up.
Cap, Gown & Champagne Pop ✨
For Laura’s graduation photos at High Point University, we shot both formal cap and gown photos but also some in a short white dress that was so cute and perfectly classic for grad pics. To end the session, she brought out a bottle of champagne for a spray photo that was just pure joy — messy, fun, and totally worth it. 🍾
These kinds of details make each session feel true to “you,” and I always encourage grads to bring along props, outfits, or location ideas that feel meaningful to them. That’s the whole point—to celebrate YOU and your incredible accomplishment!
