Congratulations to Katherine on her Spring 2024 graduation from Duke University! What an honor it was to capture her Duke graduation photos to celebrate this incredible achievement!
I am SOO SOO happy about how these turned out! Although I’m a UNC grad, I can’t deny how beautiful the campus is. It’s a graduation photographer’s dream! Plus, Duke Chapel is such a marvelous structure (I recently attended a Handel’s Messiah concert there), so I was thrilled that Katherine wanted to incoporate it into her Duke graduation photos.
We also took photos in several other spots around campus that were particularly meaningful to Katherine. It’s the first time I’ve taken grad photos in a lab! I love it so much when we can personalize graduation photos to the graduate’s own experience! They don’t ALL have to be cap and gown photos!
You might even notice a Vanderbilt penant in a couple of the photos. That’s because Katherine started medical school there in the fall! What an exciting journey she’s on!
As you can tell from these Duke graduation photos, we had so much fun during this session! And Katherine’s family is wonderful—I took her brother’s Purdue graduation photos a few years ago. It was really special that they could join her for her session. It was really great to connect with them again, and I’m so honored they asked me to take Katherine’s grad photos!
