There’s always something so special about photographing families right on the edge of something new. This sweet maternity session just outside of Greensboro had everything I love about this season of life: glowing light, happy anticipation, and lots of love.
When Janet reached out for Greensboro maternity photos, I could tell right away this was going to be a joyful session. She and her husband are expecting baby #2, and they’ve decided to keep the gender a surprise—even for their adorable 2-year-old daughter! 🥰
And get this: they’re moving into a new house right before baby arrives. I honestly can’t imagine how stressful that would, but Janet is handling with a calm, joyful energy. Total supermom status, right?!?!
We picked a beautiful field just outside of Greensboro for their maternity session, and the golden hour light was just chef’s kiss. Janet wore a rust-colored dress that flowed perfectly and looked really great against the soft, sunlit backdrop. And when her husband and daughter joined in for some photos, we caught some incredibly sweet family moments—hugs, giggles, and little hands on baby bump included.
Even though this was a maternity session for Janet, I always encourage mamas to bring the whole fam. These photos are about more than just the bump—they’re about the journey your family is on together. And how special will it be when their little one gets to look back and see they were part of it, even before they arrived?
I can’t wait to see them again when baby makes their big debut for a newborn session. Getting to document these chapters is one of the biggest joys of what I do as a Greensboro maternity photographer.
