Kelsey’s Graduation Session

I absolutely had the best time hanging out with Kelsey and Connor last week for her Purdue graduation session! Walking around campus brings me back to my college days and I have some of the best memories from those formative years!

Kelsey Lefever is a local wedding photographer here in Lafayette/West Lafayette and is graduating this month with her masters! She has worked so hard between teaching courses at Purdue, working on her thesis, and shooting over 20 weddings a year. Kelsey is a total superstar.

Besides that, Kelsey loves to travel around the world and has spent extensive time in Tanzania and Kenya traveling and teaching. She loves animals, is super down-to-earth, hilarious and did I mention is an amazing photographer?!

Graduation photos have become even more meaningful this year…

This graduation season is so different from many others in that there is NO graduation with Covid-19! So much hard work put into these years at school and completing a degree…without a graduation ceremony. Graduation ceremonies are a landmark to help orient you from one phase of life to the next, and without that, it is often hard to have proper closure on such a huge accomplishment.

That’s why I have loooved capturing these graduation portraits for Purdue grads because it is simply a way to document, remember, and honor this huge accomplishment! Not to mention these sessions have been so much fun and help bring closure to their time at Purdue.

First Date

Kelsey and Connor enjoyed peanut butter burgers on their first date at Triple XXX Restaurant near Purdue in West Lafayette. They hit it off pretty fast after that and fast forward to 2.5 years of marriage already! We just had to include a few photos at one of West Lafayette’s most iconic places.

Kelsey spent many a day at Heavilon Hall, so we just had to honor all the good times spent there 😉

As the sun set, we were able to capture memorable moments at the Engineering Fountain and Purdue Arch and reminisce on her time at Purdue!
