Julia and Nora win the most thoughtful daughter’s award when they planned out a surprise photo session and photo album for their mom’s Christmas present! The best part is that the surprise actually stayed a secret until their mom opened a beautiful archival photo album with their gorgeous pictures lining the pages! Happy tears were shed that morning with one of the best gifts a mom could ask for!
Back to the actual planning and session… I thought it was a brilliant idea but was nervous about the cold temperatures in mid-December and the day we had scheduled was actually 29 degrees! Yikes! I talked with the girls and tried to convince them to reschedule because I didn’t want them to look cold in the photos, but they kept telling me they would be just fine and were naturally hot-natured! I wasn’t quite convinced because I haven’t had good experiences under 30 degrees, but with the holidays approaching and the need to expedite their session and get an album designed and printed in time for Christmas, we had no other choice!
I handed Julia and Nora hand warmers when we got out of the car at Homestead Pine Tree Farm in Lafayette, Indiana and we wore jackets in between the shots and you know what?! You would NEVER know! They were total rockstars and blew me away!
