The Parisey Family: Greensboro Newborn Photography at Revolution Mill Studio

There’s a moment in every newborn session where the room gets quiet in the best way. Baby is settled, big sister is doing her thing, and everyone stops trying to make something happen — and something happens anyway.

That was this session.

The Parisey family came into my Revolution Mill studio on a morning that felt easy from the start. Mom and dad were relaxed, their little girl had opinions (the best kind), and baby brother was brand new and completely unbothered by all of it. We moved through the session at his pace — which is the only pace that really works with a newborn — and what came out of it was exactly the kind of gallery I love handing over.

Soft. Calm. Theirs.

What You’re Actually Looking At

Before we get into the session, I want to talk about the outfits — because nearly every piece you see in these photos came from my client closet here at the studio.

The cream cable-knit on baby brother. The tan striped dress on big sister. The warm henley on dad. Mom’s white button-front dress. The muslin wraps, the knit blankets, the little coordinating layers. All of it? Client closet.

I’ve spent years building that collection intentionally — a variety of styles, colors, and sizes so that families have real options, not just a few sad choices hanging on a rack. Dresses for moms in multiple sizes. Kids’ outfits from toddler through big-kid sizes. Neutral, coordinating pieces for dads that actually look good on camera. And an entire selection of newborn wraps, knits, and layering pieces that photograph beautifully under studio light.

When you book a Greensboro newborn session with me, you don’t have to figure any of this out on your own. Before your session, I help you choose pieces and build a look that feels cohesive — and if you want to come by the studio in person to try things on or see options in real life, you’re always welcome to do that (just schedule a quick appointment and we’ll make it happen).

No late-night Target run. No outfit spiral at 38 weeks. Just show up.

Big Sister, Baby Brother

Now. Can we talk about her?

She was so proud of him. The way she looked at him — careful and curious and a little possessive in the way only big siblings can be — it was one of those things I kept trying to capture from a slightly different angle because I never wanted it to end.

And then there was the other face. The one where mom and dad were completely focused on the new baby and she had Thoughts about that.

I love this photo so much. That pout is going to be iconic in twenty years. Frame it, Parisey family.

The Baby Details

He was so tiny, you guys.

There’s something about photographing a baby in those first couple of weeks when they still curl up like they’re trying to get back to where they were. The tiny fists. The way they fit so perfectly in one arm. The details don’t stay this small for long — and that’s exactly why we document them now.

About the KMP Client Closet

The Parisey session is a perfect example of what’s possible when outfit planning is done well — and when you have access to a collection built specifically for this kind of session.

My client closet at Revolution Mill is available to every family who books a newborn, family, or maternity session with me. It’s included, not an add-on. You’re welcome to come by the studio (by appointment) to browse in person, try things on, and see what coordinates well together. Or we can plan everything remotely before your session — I’ll pull pieces based on your family’s coloring, the look you’re going for, and what will photograph well in the studio light.

The goal is simple: you should be able to walk in the door thinking about your baby, not about what anyone’s wearing.

Book Your Greensboro Newborn Session

Newborn sessions are best photographed in the first two weeks, and the best time to book is during your second trimester — spots do fill up, especially for winter and spring arrivals.

If you’re expecting and you want a session that feels this calm and timeless when you look back at it, I’d love to plan yours. Send me a message here and we’ll get started.
